Gala Will Pay Tribute to Pediatric Hospice Patients
(Alexandria, VA) – Emmy Award winning ABC7/WJLA-TV reporter and anchor, Greta Kreuz will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies for the National Hospice Foundation’s Gala on April 26, 2013. This is the ninth annual gala for the Foundation which raises funds for the work of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
Kreuz began her career as a newspaper reporter and photographer and has gone on to become an acclaimed television reporter and anchor. During her extensive career, Greta has interviewed many prominent newsmakers, among them Jimmy Carter, Elizabeth Edwards, Desmond Tutu and Princess Diana. She has covered major stories such as 9-11 and the death of Pope John Paul the Second in Rome. Off-screen, Greta is very active in the community, serving on various boards and working with her church and other non-profit organizations.
The gala will be held at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center at National Harbor, MD. This year, the gala will pay special tribute to hospices young and heroic pediatric patients.. Funds raised through the gala will support the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s work in raising awareness of how children’s needs differ from those of adults and education hospice providers about how to best care for them and their families.
The program will feature an awards ceremony, along with live and silent auctions.
