New Run to Remember® Opportunity

Submit a Proposal to Receive 1-on-1 Onsite Technical Assistance

NHF wants to help hospice leaders mount aggressive efforts to jumpstart Run to Remember® teams and raise significant money. We have come up with a new idea: provide intensive 1-on-1 onsite technical assistance. That’s right, we’ll send our trainers to you, at no cost!

In order to select hospices programs for this program, NHF invites you to complete a short proposal. The winning four proposals will each receive on-site Captain’s Training to commence in July of this year.

Instructions

Please submit a short proposal (no more than 2-singled space pages, 11 point type) that answers these questions:

  1. What is your understanding of the Run to Remember Program—and how could it fit into your fundraising portfolio?
  2. Which multi-distance event will you use as the focus for building a participant team? (By multi-distance event, we mean a racing event in your area that has several races to it connected, such as a marathon with a half-marathon or 10K option as well.)
  3. What are your initial ideas about how to recruit at least 25 runners or walkers to participate?
  4. What are your preliminary plans about how to nurture and support the group so that they remain involved and focused?
  5. What kind of additional support do you think you would like from Run to Remember?
  6. Please affirm your CEO’s support of this endeavor and your program’s ability to free-up several staff members for a full day for the on-site training by RTR staff. (Also, list names/titles of those who will attend the training.)

Proposals must be sent as Word documents to Stuart Lazarus at stuart@runtoremember.org and arrive not later than April 30.

The winners will be announced by NHF no later than May 1. Questions may be addressed to stuart@runtoremember.org
