Bringing the Positive Message of Hospice and Palliative Care… to the Skies
As part of the national public engagement efforts of NHPCO and NHF, first-class and business travelers on American Airlines will see a video that may challenge everything they think or believe about hospice care. While many people mistakenly think choosing hospice is “giving up”, this short film portrays the meaningful moments that can still happen, despite a serious or terminal illness.
The video from NHPCO’s “Moments of Life: Made Possible by Hospice” campaign showcases dozens of patients and their families from across the United States.
The “Moments” mini-movie will be broadcast to approximately a quarter-million travelers during the months of October and November, on more than 5,800American Airlines video-equipped flights. It will also be shared via social media sources to help people understand the many benefits of hospice care.
